Luigi is a consultant at Frontier Economics, specialising in the telecommunication and postal sectors. He works with regulatory authorities and leading companies in Europe, Latin America and South Africa.
Luigi advises on competition issues in the telecommunications industry, covering aspects such as market power, on-net/off-net price differentials, as well as the dynamics of prices and costs. He has extensive experience in both the regulation of margin squeeze, cost modelling, the determination of the WACC, and the modelling of the net cost of the universal postal service. Luigi is also experienced in demand modelling, specifically in forecasting demand using S-shaped curves. Indeed, Luigi is highly experienced in econometrics, having applied a variety of statistical models across a wide range of industries. He published a paper estimating the impact of access-based (resale, bitstream, ULL) and inter-platform competition on broadband take-up.
Luigi holds a Master of Science in Specialized Economic Analysis from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics. He is native in Italian, fluent in English and Spanish, and has a working knowledge of French.
