Mette is an Associate Director in Frontier’s competition practice. She has been working as an economic consultant in this area since 1999.
Based in Brussels, she handles competition cases across Frontier’s Brussels, Cologne and London offices, advising clients on merger cases, cartel cases including damages evaluation, litigation cases and the assessment of market power and abusive conduct. She has worked on a large number of competition cases before the European Commission and national competition authorities and courts, particularly in Germany, but also in other countries such as Austria, Denmark and the UK – spanning a wide range of industries. Interesting recent cases she has advised on include the merger between Caterpillar and MWM in the area of gas generator sets (ECMR, Phase II), the European Commission’s Article 102 investigation into Slovak Telekom’s behaviour on the Slovak market for broadband internet access and the German cement cartel case (appeal against the decision of the German Bundeskartellamt before the Oberlandesgericht Düsseldorf).
