Nick Woolley

Nick has been with Frontier since 2006, and is a Manager in Frontier’s Public Policy practice. Nick combines strategic and policy experience to advise public and private clients. He manages projects across a range of sectors including healthcare, housing, the voluntary sector and the arts.  Nick’s clients include a range of NHS organisations, the Department of Health, the Royal Voluntary Service, the National Housing Federation and the British Film Institute.

Nick has undergraduate and Masters degrees in economics, both from the University of Oxford.

Nick has worked widely across the UK healthcare system, advising public, private and voluntary sector clients on a range of issues.  He combines expertise in policy evaluation, competition analysis and financial modelling to provide clients with robust analysis and insight.

Examples of Nick’s work include:

  • supporting Monitor in developing their regulatory pricing model for the healthcare sector, and undertaking the Fair Playing Field Review of competition in the UK health sector;
  • advising NHS trusts on competition issues relating to mergers and service reconfigurations;
  • providing commercial strategy advice to NHS commissioning organisations; and
  • evaluating many specific health services across primary, secondary and mental health sectors.
