Vikram is a Consultant in Frontier’s Energy Practice with more than 6 years of experience advising customers on energy economics issues. He is an expert on power markets.
Since joining Frontier in April 2016, he has worked on dispute resolution and transaction advisory projects in the power sector and helped a client develop a business case for innovation in low-carbon heating.
Previously, Vikram worked at the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) as an economist advising on issues including 2020 renewable energy targets, UK power sector strategy, electricity market competition and low-carbon electricity. In particular, he led the development of the UK’s auctions for Contracts for Difference (CfDs) for renewable electricity projects. He spent 18 months on secondment to the European Commission as an energy State aid case handler, covering a brief including capacity mechanisms, renewables and energy-intensive industries with a focus on Germany and Greece.
Vikram holds a MSc in Economics from London School of Economics and a BSc in Economics from University College London.
