Spectrum is a valuable resource. In recent years, the increasing spread of devices which rely on spectrum, domestic or workplace, has transformed lives but significantly increased demand.
However, spectrum is scarce. And one person’s use can interfere with another’s. It needs to be managed carefully. Regulators play an important role in ensuring that spectrum is allocated efficiently and consistently with governments’ policy objectives.
We have played a key role in assisting operators who use spectrum and regulators who manage it to ensure that it is used efficiently. We help design and assess regulatory policies to manage spectrum. We estimate the value of spectrum in different uses. We advise on the appropriate strategies to award spectrum and help regulators design auctions and operators to develop auction strategies.
